Judge Jay Wells served in the Army National Guard from 1988 to 2015 rst as crewman on an M1 Abrams Armor tank. Later as a Judge Advocate General he worked as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate and in the Trial Defense Service until he retired in 2015 with the rank of Captain.
Judge Jay Wells served as an advocate for the disadvantaged, disabled and mentally
ill in our area as a practicing attorney.
He worked with Judge Amy Corrigall- Jones to start Valor Court, which gives veterans access to programs, treatment and interaction with mentors to help them succeed after their involvement with the criminal justice system.
